The Land Of The Senecas Muzzle Loaders Club will hold its annual pre-1840s Black Powder Living History Rendezvous and Market Faire on July 6th through July 8th of 2012.
We are a family oriented living history rendezvous experience with something for everyone: "modern" and "pre-1840" camping, buckskinner demonstrations, food and ice, games, archery shoots, smoothbore, knife and hawk contests, woodswalk shoots, camp tours, music, sutlers, blanket traders, raffles, prizes, fun shoots, grudge shoots, competition shoots, talkin', braggin', and good times. We are all pilgrims in one way or another, so come join us to live the "old timey" way, even if you are "new to the game".
CAMPING: We have both "pre-1840" and "modern" camp areas. Period dress and equipment required in our primitive, "pre-1840", camp. Period dress is encouraged for modern campers. No hook-ups are available in "modern" camp area. Early set-up by arrangement with Booshway. The camping fee includes free parking, water, firewood and all activities, including shooting.
SHOOTING: Shooting is limited to registered rendevous campers and visitors only. We have various types of black powder and archery shooting as well as woodscraft activities. Period dress, or some attempt at period dress is required of all shooters. Blackpowder, patched ball, fixed iron sights, only. All archery to be with traditional bows. New pilgrims and tenderfeet cordially welcomed.
We are located on a hilltop between Watkins Glen and Ithaca, NY, on 200 acres of land traversed by the Fingerlakes Trail System. We are definitely not a “parking lot” rendezvous or a commercial “theme faire”. For driving directions see our map.
We would be pleased to have you and your family join us!
